The Benefits of a Multitalented Team

Pilot International is an organization that prides itself on the talents of its membership. Our members represent a cross-section of skills and professions. As an organization, Pilot benefits from a membership that possesses a wide range of experiences and accomplishments. On every level - club, district and international - it is often necessary to access a member's expertise. Whether it's public relations, accounting, leadership training, writing, or fund raising, Pilot embraces every expertise in order to maintain its multitalented team.

Clubs also should also look for a variety of professions which will impact the club's visibility, the ability to train members and to increase membership, and to improve service projects - particularly those related to Pilot's focus. Does your club have a speech therapist? A special education teacher? Stroke nurse? Florist? How about a caterer? Attracting different professionals to your club allows it to be well-rounded. With a doubt, Pilot's greatest resource is its people.

In order to maintain a broad scope of experience within our organization, reference Pilot's classification guidelines, which will help your club to identify the expertise and professions that your club may be currently missing.

When Pilot's clubs possess a wide range of experienced individuals, the organization is that much more successful in its work and reach into our world community.

"Pilot - The World's Service Organization of Choice"

What does it mean to be a Pilot member?

Values serve as the cornerstone to an organization. They encourage and direct and organization's people and their work. Pilot members have said that our organization values:

Friendship & Fellowship
Service
Leadership
Personal Growth
Community
International Diversity
Ethical Behavior

These intangible values are essential to the culture of Pilot International. They enable us to survive as an organization, and to draw additional members who are inspired by and committed to the work we perform in our communities. Pilot's values have been formed and polished over the last 75 years, beginning with the first club in Macon and eventually traveling to over 500 clubs around the world.

There are additional benefits that Pilot membership dues provide. As noted by Pilots, these are:

Reputation and Heritage of a 75 Year Organization
A Strong Foundation - Pilot International Foundation
Leadership Opportunities
Informative Publications
Professional Training
District and International Conventions
Networking Opportunities
A Successful Youth Program - Anchor Club
Inspirational Speakers
Volunteer Resource Materials
Professional Staff and Organizational Resources
Collective Purchasing Power

Perhaps the greatest benefit of being a Pilot member is the pride and personal satisfaction that one feels by contributing to the improvement of our communities. Membership offers many new experiences, and a sense of belonging to a group of individuals who truly care.
